The plan: Sunday lunch including steamed artichokes stuffed with black olives and garlic.

Reality: I think the artichokes were too old, they tasted very gummy... no artichokes for us :(

A wind sculpture in downtown Tallahassee, it's tucked in a tiny park behind the City Hall. I walked through that area many times but never noticed it until now.

This is not a rigged photoWe came home, I was starting dinner and David was dealing with Jack. Mika was patiently sitting at the computer trying to log in i.e. randomly pressing buttons in the password field.

David came over and she asked for daddy game... David started Oblivion, Mika put the headphones on and attempted to play:)

Cardinals in the yard... there were 3 on the ground but not close enough to all get in the shot... Not positive they are cardinals... red jay maybe?

I stumbled upon these cute bandannas at Walmart while frantically looking for Valentine's Day candy and figured Mika will have a blast with them..... while I thought of them as an accessory for her, Mika decided they work better as baby doll blankets :)

My arms still hurt like crazy but I had to get the Valentine's Day goodies done.... the big cookies were Valentine's for the teachers (those are as big as my hand), the kids got a bunch of small cookies.... and for Mika's party cupcakes... chocolate filled with straberry jam and buttercream icing..

The photos are horrible but I just didn't have the energy for more stylized stuff.... way too tired...

Started replacing the roof today, we've been waiting for a month now for the weather to clear up enough for us to be able to do it. Hope is we'll be able to finish it tomorrow... not sure if we'll make it...

These kind of flags are nothing unusual, usually decorating yards... This one caught my eye because it is located in a rather serious, professional setting. This particular tree is in front of the Clerk of court building.

Incidentally, with our anniversary getting closer; this was the building we got married in... not terribly romantic, but then again it was just to make it legal. Our actual ceremony happened months earlier in Croatia.
